Academic Relations

Mission

Support and enhance relationships among the faculty and student bodies of colleges and universities – with local Chapters, ISACA® worldwide, and the IS Audit and Control profession.

Three main groups are served by the Academic Relations Committee – students, faculty, and industry members.

Students

While you are attending college full-time, you can become an ISACA member of the Los Angeles chapter by becoming an ISACA international student member for only $25 a year.  Attending the monthly meetings are only $10 per meeting if you pre-register and $20 at the door, buffet is included.

Speakers at the monthly meetings are leaders in the industry speaking on a current topic in the profession.  Attending monthly meetings also provides students access to industry professionals.

School Representatives Wanted!

ISACA® is searching for 1 to 2 student representatives from each local school that can act as chapter liaisons and promotes ISACA® news and events to student organizations such as MISSA or Beta Alpha Psi.

Faculty

ISACA can provide speakers to your student clubs and classes.  Faculty can also become Academic Advocates which provides free membership. Becoming an ISACA Academic Advocate gives you access to resources that can be used in your classes.
