Cloud Computing is extremely popular today. Business is quickly embracing Cloud as a strategic computing platform with 82% of business stating that they have a plan to move some of their IT assets to the cloud. The Cloud Computing Platform comes in various flavors: Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Services (IaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) with various implementation models. Developing a clear picture of Cloud Computing Platform capabilities, benefits and pitfalls provides a strong basis for decision making by non-technical executives. Understanding the compliance, security and risk issues around a cloud computing platform will enable the business to effectively consider their options. Applying the technique outlined in this course will enable the business to follow a systematic approach to the development of a strategy that fits its needs.
The language of the strategy should be business terminology based on business imperatives answering the 4 governance questions. This course will provide a groundwork for use in developing a business focused strategy for your cloud initiatives.
